J. Davis is the Managing Partner of the firm he founded in
1977. Over the years, the firm's focus has been in the area of information
technology management and in the recruitment of other key leaders for
technology-based companies.Over the years, John has conducted successful search engagements for organizations across a spectrum of U.S. Industries. These engagements have ranged from highly technical professionals to CIOs and to other senior executives with proven general management experience.
John began his career with the General Electric Corporation. He holds an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business, an MA from Stanford University, and a BA from the University of Notre Dame.
John has been quoted on management issues in publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Computerworld, CIO Magazine and Business Week On Line.
John Simon
With over 30 years of experience in information technology recruitment, John D. Simon has conducted search assignments for client companies in all major industries. Having trained as an astronautical engineer, Mr. Simon began his career with Grumman and other companies involved in the U.S. space program. He also spent several years as a management consultant with A.T. Kearney. Prior to Joining John J. Davis & Associates, he was director of executive employment for SCT Corporation, a leading software firm. Mr. Simon holds a B.S. and M.S. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from New York University as well as an M.S. in Industrial Management from Columbia University.
